How Do I Filter Job Offers?

How Do I Filter Job Offers?

Filtering job offers makes it easy to find only the jobs of interest. The following filters are available and can be used one-by-one, or in combination to narrow down the list to exactly what you’re looking for:

  • Distance from me

  • Days/Dates of the job

  • Suggested Pay Rate

  • Job Type (temp or perm)

  • Parking

  • Recall time (for hygienists only)

Note that all filters have an option to be “disabled” or allow “any” job offers. When a filter is not used, it is shown in white. When at least one filter criteria is specified, that filter is shown in blue. There is also a counter that shows how many filters you currently have active. This is useful to check if you’re not finding the jobs you’re looking for. Each of the filters is described in detail below:

Distance from me

This job allows you to specify the distance in miles from your home address (as the crow flies). All jobs greater than this distance will be filtered out, and only those that meet these criteria will remain.

Days/Dates of the job

This filter allows a good deal of flexibility in specifying which days for job offers you wish to see. For example, you can filter for specific days of the week: “Show only jobs on Fridays and Saturdays”. Or, you can filter for specific dates: “I have next Wednesday, November 12 open. Show me job offers on that day”. Or, you can specify a combination of the two: “Show me only jobs on Fridays during next month”.

Suggested Pay Rate

This filter is very simple and powerful. You can specify to only show job offers within a certain suggested pay range. Typically, you would set the lower end of this range, and view any job offers that meet your minimum requirements.

Parking

If the office has specified whether or not parking is available, you can filter on that here, and only show jobs with free parking (for example).

Recall Time

If you are a hygienist, and you only wish to work jobs with a recall time of (for example) 45 minutes or more, you can limit your search to only job offers meeting that criteria. You specify the minimum recall time, and only offers with that minimum or greater are displayed.
